Gail Walls Thomason is a properties master, designer, production and stage manager, consultant and teacher with over forty-five years working professionally in the industry, and has long since lost count of the thousands of productions she has been involved in. Clients and past employers include Seattle Repertory Theatre, Intiman, Seattle Children’s Theatre, Tacoma Arts Live, Harlequin Productions, Tacoma Opera, One Reel, Puget Sound Revels, Jude Narita, PNTA, Lakewood Playhouse, The Admiral Theatre, The Flower and Garden Show, Tacoma School of the Arts, Northwest Stage, and many more. Gail has a BA in Theatre from Eastern Washington University and currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Lakewood Playhouse, previously as treasurer. Regularly in search of new challenges, the only role Gail hasn’t held in a theatre production at this point is Director, having filled at some point or another every possible role. As a properties designer, Gail has built hundreds of projects including several mascots, dragons, and over one hundred shows. As a manager, Gail has been in charge of teams for dozens of different projects, including overseeing the setup and firing of the Lake Union Family Fourth fireworks show, one of the largest in the country, The Flower and Garden Show in Seattle and San Francisco, and many productions with nearly every events and production company in the Salish Sea.
Mark Thomason is a lighting designer, technical director, consultant, set designer, technician and teacher with over thirty years working in the industry, having worked directly on well more than one thousand productions. Clients include Zombie Orpheus Entertainment, Tacoma Opera, Tacoma Arts Live, Puget Sound Revels, Harlequin Productions, Lakewood Playhouse, Tacoma Little Theatre, Dukesbay Theatre, ELISEO, Tacoma School of the Arts, Jude Narita, University of Puget Sound, One Reel, Frank Ferrante, UW Tacoma, Edmonds Center for the Arts, and many more. Mark has a BA in Theatre Production and in Communications Photography from Bradley University, and a CTE Certification from Bates Technical College. One of the founders of the film production company Dead Gentlemen Productions, Mark has worked on dozens of film projects and has numerous awards for his lighting and camera work both on stage and on video. In addition to regularly working as a freelance designer and consultant with many organizations, and as a technical director for Chaldea Studios and Zombie Orpheus Entertainment in Seattle, Mark teaches part time at Tacoma School of the Arts where he has produced or co-produced all the student productions for the past decade. As a lighting designer, Mark has designed over one hundred regional productions including opera, rock concerts, musicals and plays. As a member of USITT, Mark has worked on the ESET Technician Certification program, and was instrumental in developing the standards and test content for the ESET safety and basic terminology test as well as the electrical and lighting certification.
